PURPOSE
To effectively lead the operations & the team by implementing & communicating the strategy, setting & monitoring targets, managing the customer interface & implementing good people management practices to achieve customer satisfaction & retail revenues
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Translates the Retail strategy into operational reality by cascading the strategy into operational terms through SOPs, KPIs, and SLAs.
Leads the operations team in setting, monitoring & ensuring achievement of targets and KPIs such as revenue achievement, implementation of pricing and customer satisfaction.
Allocates and cascades Retail targets (sales, profits, customer satisfaction, etc) to designated areas to ensure targets are identified and distributed.
Monitors mystery shopper & customer satisfaction survey, identifies gaps and intervenes whenever necessary by directing Area Managers towards bridging the gap and improving performance.
Visits outlets randomly to ensure proper implementation of SOPs, merchandizing, outlet environment standards, etc, and receives feedback from outlet team on how to improve business and overcome operational obstacles.
Intervenes whenever necessary to minimize lost opportunities occurred by poor customer handling, product unavailability or wrong pricing.
Manages CRM program by ensuring accurate communication with end users and provides feedback to the Category Manager in order to enhance the CRM program.
Explores expansion opportunities based on Retail strategy by supervising the following activities: outlet selection, preparation and launching to ensure the highest possible level of efficiency.
Manages outlets close down as directed by the Retail BU Director by supervising the following activities: contract termination, moving goods and assets, reallocating teams.
Develops, manages & appraises Area Managers to ensure they are trained & competent to fulfil their job roles
