PURPOSE OF THE JOB

•Assist Relationship Manager(s) in maintaining & growing the commercial banking customer portfolio of European and North American subsidiaries operating throughout the UAE

•Dual focus on acquisition of new customers (by leveraging our international network and referral partners) and growth of wallet share with existing customers.

•Responsible for assisting senior Relationship Manager(s)with management of major client relationship within a complex and global product /business model.

•Cultivate existing relationship, understand and anticipate client’s needs as well as identify incremental sales opportunities

•Assist with development and execution of relationship strategy, calling plan and sales/product goals based on clients’ needs and opportunities

•Syndicate with and mobilise key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery to client. Key partners in this respect include our dedicated account opening centre, payments and cash management sales, trade sales and operations teams.

•Proactively drive forward product solutions on the basis of client’s new business needs and requirements

•Improve the quality of the portfolio through regular monitoring of the relationship and assessment of the risks.

•Prepare all management reports relating to credit approvals, excesses, extensions and other house keeping tasks.

•Own the customer experience and ensure service excellence at all times, for all aspects of any customer or prospect’s interaction with HSBC.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Impact on the Business

•Maximize revenue and customer value from a portfolio of relationships and contribute directly to CMB’s target, both stipulated in Strategic Plan and AOP, in profit growth, credit quality etc

Customers / Stakeholders

•Maximise cross-selling in a wide range of products including treasury, capital markets, personal, insurance, investments, private banking, etc.

•Deliver an excellent customer experience

Leadership & Teamwork

•Join-Up with other regional/customer/product/support groups

Operational Effectiveness & Control

•Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

•In conjunction with Compliance department, to implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant compliance department. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

•To be alert to operational risks and losses during the execution of their day to day responsibilities. Should an employee become aware of emerging or inadequately controlled operational risk or identify an operational risk loss, they must report this to their line manager, ensuring that it is reported to their local Operational Risk Co-ordinator.

•To adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls

KNOWLEDGE

•Experience in corporate/ commercial or investment banking, ideally as a credit analyst or a junior relationship manager focused on larger corporate clients

•Good knowledge of the Bank’s structures, products and services.

•Knowledge of FX, cash management, Trade Finance products & trade structures documentation and associated risks preferred

•Knowledge of regulatory provisions relating to banking and finance would be an advantage

•Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants and strong credit knowledge.

•Broad understanding of the competitive, legal and regulatory landscape, with a detailed knowledge of competitor propositions/ activity

•Knowledge of the changing economic, social and governmental environment and industries/sectors in the UAE and globally.

AREA SALES MANAGER – MIDDLE EAST
Reporting to Mimio EMEA Sales Director this candidate will be responsible for developing assigned territory with 100% focus on Mimio business in the Middle East region, comprising countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt and Jordan. Others as agreed upon depending on business opportunities and demand.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN ACTIVITIES :
The development of the Mimio brand and achievement of sales targets in the assigned territory and an interface between our distributor, dealer, their customers, local ministry of education and Mimio sales and marketing team.
The management of all aspects of the Mimio distributor – dealer account relationships in the designated territories
The attainment of the designated sales revenue targets in such territories
Supporting Mimio marketing in the initiation, implementation and coordination of educational focused product marketing and advocacy programs (and other related activities) that will be a key to the Mimio development strategy in the primary territory.
Among the others, the selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Complete management of assigned accounts, inclusive of:
Product training and support
Promotions, exhibitions, training, tenders, direct mail and dealer support
Marketing materials
Profitability and growth of customer base
Coordination and weekly communication of all customer information to management
Management and implementation of pricing strategy
Presentation of new product introductions and associated support plans
Determine customer product forecasts and sales targets, on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Qualifications
Business or Marketing degree preferred
Minimum 4 to 6 years sales experience, preferably within Multinational companies competing in value-added, specialized technology or IT product sectors
Relevant Trade Marketing experience, including the management of trade and end user marketing
Fluent in written/spoke Arabic, with full use of written and spoken English
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
Planning & Organizing
Persuasive / Sales Ability / Negotiation Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
● Consumer Electornics, Technology, FMCG industry experience
