Maintenance Coordination:

 Reports operational abnormalities to the maintenance department and follows up to ensure proper response and work continuity.

Shift Reports:

 Prepares shift reports to keep the operations superintendent well informed about work progress

Work Requirements:

 Coordinates work requirements with the other sections, make available designated and required shift operating personnel as needed to ensure work progress

Housekeeping:

 Ensure the house keeping and cleanliness of work area and machinery is maintained by respective operating personnel to have trouble free running of the plant and bring equipment to show room condition.

Emergency Response:

 Respond immediately to emergencies, including fires, to mitigate and rescue Plant equipment and/or personnel during emergency situations.

Shift Operations:

 Follows up the shift operations through the work instructions given by the operations superintendent to fill in gaps and ensure water desalination plant equipment and auxiliaries utilization is maximized with minimal costs and within the Marafiq standards.

 Review log sheets from previous shift to determine condition/status of each unit. Follow up on existing problems and progress corrective steps throughout the shift to reach resolution of problem.

 Issue Permit to Work and Safety Tags to carry out the required maintenance work – includes isolation of problem areas and perform electrical switching as may be needed.

 Review Control Room and Field Operators log sheets to determine if they were completed accurately and whether or not there are deviations from standard parameters.

 Tour plant to determine mechanical status of the equipment and overall readiness of the plant and identify safety infractions, if any, take appropriate action

 Supervise and participate in routine tests and check ups such as Changing-Over of auxiliaries, electrical switchgear, etc.

 Participate in shut-downs for maintenance and or standby purposes and in start-ups. Includes ensuring safety, proper isolation, testing, etc. to ascertain the problem has been resolved, normalizing the unit and bringing it back on line

 Respond to emergency situations such as tripping trouble shoot problem and take appropriate corrective steps to normalize the unit.

 Supervise weekly and monthly activities and coordinate with other Operations sections in case of interface problems.

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join the company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an executive level position.

Reporting to: Company Chairman and COO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To manage the full operations of the Group within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This will include accountability for:

Strategic Management and Leadership:

• Gain a clear understanding of the strategic objectives set by the CEO

• Prepare/Provide strategic input into /the business plan and / or redevelop / refine the business plan in alignment with the strategic objectives as set by the CEO.

• Execute the approved business plan within the assigned market /activities.

• Operational aspects of the company namely all the commercial and technical matters.

• Interface in a timely manner with the support structures locally and at group level in order to ensure that they meet the required needs and to facilitate the achievement of the approved business plan and strategic goals and objectives

• Lead, Guide, direct, control and mentor the Division Managers in the execution of their required deliverables in order to achieve the approved business plan

• Disseminate goals to reportees in order that they are aware of the company expectations, and that these goals reflect the approved business plan

• Collect strong statistical information to measure performance for all

• Actively develop the micro and macro skills of your direct reports in the pursuit of developing a strong senior management team

• Ensure that the operational structures of the company comply with requirements and are as per “best business practice”

• Ensure that all operating mischief’s are promptly dealt with and that continuous improvement mechanisms ensure non recurrence of these

• Ensure internal controls are followed strictly in monitoring:

- Sales

- Commercial contractual matters

- Projects Management/Projects Executions/Projects Planning

- Regulatory compliance with regards operational / technical / commercial matters

- Risk management / aversion

- Vendor relations

- Cost management

- Invoicing and Collections

- Staff management

• Provide clear, accurate and regular reporting to the CEO in the form of a “dashboard”

• Prepare Annual (or when required) Budgets and Forecasts, broken down to monthly milestones

• Salary package will reflect experience levels and will depend on the candidate

• As a guide up to 45k SAR per month/ $145k USD per annum

• PLUS highly attractive profit share

Our client who are a significant member of the Middle Eastern banking community have asked us to assist in the hire of a Test Manager.

Job Description

You will manage / lead a team of testing professionals in providing a broad range of test services and solutions, ensuring established standards are met and planned objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversees test activities for projects with increasing degree of complexity within and/or across lines of business (Tier 1 or 2).

• Manages medium to large size teams of testing professionals (typically 5-10 people).

• Lead the testing team throughout the entire testing lifecycle, ensuring that test process, methodologies

and tools are applied appropriately and stakeholders are kept informed of progress and issues.

• Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities

and tasks are completed as scheduled.

• Develop and manage a team of testing professionals through training, knowledge sharing, coaching

and conducting performance assessments of team members and clearly define objectives and accountabilities.

• Create testing strategies and plans using risk analysis methodologies and tools and that align with the

development approach/methodology selected for the project.

• Manage and support the team in creating reusable test assets for both manual and automated test scripts.

• Manage the defect process ensuring defects are documented, tracked and reported to facilitate timely fixes, including escalation of issues where appropriate.

• Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updated to the project team using quality metrics.

• Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with established information security and information privacy policies and guidelines.

• Act as primary testing liaison with the business and coordinate business testing.

• Communicate and negotiate testing timelines, budget, staffing, scope and critical milestones.

• Manage relationships with project team members, third party vendors / service partners, release teams and client areas as appropriate.

• Foster an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork and a high level of professionalism.

• Assists with test execution when required to meet project timelines.

Job Requirements

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations:

• College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

• Accreditation in Certified Software Tester (CSTE) and Certified Manager of Software Testing

(CMST) or equivalent is an asset

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Must have 2-4 years of job-related experience in test management/leadership.

• Strong knowledge of testing including risk-based testing, software development practices and

methodologies, version control and defect management practices.

• Testing experience with large, complex, highly integrated applications.

• Sound understanding and working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project

management life cycle (PMLC) methodologies.

• Experience working with third party service partners in both on and offshore models.

• Good project financials management skills (estimating, budget creation, tracking, forecasting).

• Ability to manage testing teams across multiple projects simultaneously.

• Thorough understanding of how to optimize test activities across projects in order to achieve

optimum use of test resources and execution cycles.

• Experience using HP Quality Centre and automation testing tools (QTP, Loadrunner, SOATEST, etc)

would be an asset.
