A. Employee Relations:

 Handle newly hired and resigning employees in accordance with department’s policies and procedures and labor law.

 Follow up on employee’ contracts renewal and preparation of relevant documents.

 Support in the recording of employee attendance and ensure that all information is accurately captured.

 File and update employee documents, records and certificates in personnel file in line with the established filing system.

 Support employee relations in responding to employee issues and ensuring that appropriate areas have been informed for proper action.

 Monitor and review leave balances and ensure that leaves are accurately recorded and leave balances are updated in a timely manner in line with THE COMPANY’s policies.

 Support in disciplinary investigations and prepare related recommendations for action.

B. Recruitment:

 Files candidate documents, records and certificates in recruitment files in line with the established filing system.

 Support in the preparation of employment contracts ensuring that information is accurate.

C. Compensation and Benefits:

 Assist in the preparation of the periodic payroll calculations and ensure that variables impacting payroll such as leaves, overtime and adjustments are accurately reflected.

 Assist in the preparation of the social insurance calculations in line with laws and regulations.

D. Reporting:

 Assist in the preparation of periodic human resources reports ensuring that information is available in an accurate and timely manner.

We are looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager to be based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The main purpose of the Deputy General Manager’s job is to support the General Manager in the execution of strategies and policies as approved by the Board of Directors. The Deputy General Manager implements directions for the company and oversees the operations and the development of the company

Reporting Directly to: General Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Principal Accountabilities:

• Reports on performance and is accountable to the GM for overall performance (financial and non-financial)

• Performs the GM’s responsibilities when the GM is absent or cannot perform them

• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel

• Support the GM in the development and update of yearly strategic plan and budget

• Executes the strategies approved by Group Vice President-Contracting & Industrial Services and the BoD

• Develops and supervises the implementation of operational policies and procedures supporting stated strategies and objectives

• Disseminates values and culture throughout the organization

• Provides support for the professional development of staff and managers reporting directly to him

Communications & Working Relationships:

• Interfaces with the Business Development Manager, Construction Manager and Operations Support Manager for all activities related to:

o The execution of Strategy;

o The key client relationships;

o Risk Management.

• Coordinates with the financial officer for all activities related to finance and treasury

• Coordinates with the Corporate Services Officer for ensuring the smooth execution of processes related to services supplied by head office

• Interacts with the Business Development Manager, Construction Manager and Operations Support Manager for managing day to day activities

• Interacts on a daily basis with Unit Heads through reports and management meetings

• Interacts on a daily basis with the GM on operational and business issues

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred). MBA Preferred

• 15+ years experience in the Construction/contracting industry

• 10+ years experience as a senior executive in a company of size or larger

• 5+ years experience in the GCC, preferably in Saudi Arabia

• Fluent in Arabic and English (Oral and written)

• Solid working knowledge of budgeting, business development, human resources, strategic planning

• Strong track record of past performance in positions of leadership with ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external stakeholders

• Requires extensive local and international travel

KEY SKILLS

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, organization, and presentation skills

• Demonstrated dynamism and leadership qualities with forward-looking abilities and anticipation of market and industry opportunities

• Strong computer skills

Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.

2. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.

3. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.

4. Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants.

5. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.

6. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.

7. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.

8. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.

9. Resolve accounting discrepancies.

10. Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.

11. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems.

12. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.

13. Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
