Our client, an all-female University in Saudi Arabia, is establishing a new English Language preparatory one year programme, which prepares newly admitted students for their future undergraduate studies.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic senior academic team involved in the implementation of a new programme. If you are a leader in your field, think strategically, and thrive on motivating and inspiring teachers to provide stimulating learning environments, we’d like to hear from you! The following roles are Fixed Term Contracts for 3 years.

As part of the Senior Academic Team and together with the Lead Teachers you will provide educational support including curriculum development and management of both teachers and English Language programmes.

It is anticipated that the successful applicant will either already be based in the Middle East or ideally will be available to relocate to the Middle East around December 2011. Please note only female applicants will be considered due to the campus policies of this Saudi Arabian University.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, an internationally recognised TESOL qualification such as CELTA or similar, be passionate about education, and have an interest in the Middle East.

As well as supporting the Academic Director, you will provide educational leadership and oversight of the development programmes, ensuring those offered are of the highest standard possible.

Experience in the selection and appointment of teaching staff.

Able to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Successful experience of teaching English as a second language, along with a sound knowledge of education principles in a TESOL environment.

A student focused approach to teaching activities and an overall client-centred approach.

Experience of working with ESOL teachers in a leadership capacity to create a positive working environment to achieve high performance.

Experience with quality assurance systems.

Is needed for secondary school students of british curriculum .

She should have an experience of atleast 4 years in teaching Maths, Science and English.

She shall be living with a decent moslem Qatari family that have 4 children. The children are in Grades 3,7, 9 and one in KG. Her sole job is to take care of their education. She shall have a private room with toilet, A/C, TV, Internet, Mobile Phone. She shall have her food meals and necessities on the account of the parents. Basically she wont be spending much of her salary.

Salary and benefits are determined based on her qualifications. She shall have a one month per year vacation and a round trip ticket to India.

Taking care of the kids education is all what she is expected to do.

Details

Jazan Economic City Polytechnic is an exciting new project in the south west of Saudi Arabia. The college has been established to provide a Foundation Programme for young Saudis, to prepare them for entry into vocational degree programmes in a range of technical areas. The college is being developed under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority http://www.sagia.gov.sa/.

The core course will have a substantial ESOL content, but students will also have courses in science, numeracy, soft skills, IT and study skills all taught by suitably qualified staff. The college is well resourced and there will be a learning support team in place for both group and one-to-one interventions where needed.

Salary and Benefits Package

The salary is USD 80,000 pa.

Contracts will be for 12 months, renewable. A 90-day probation period at the beginning of employment will be observed.

The employer will provide a furnished apartment per person (with their family if they choose to bring family members with them). The housing complex includes a small gym, laundry room and a security guard.

In terms of healthcare, insurance coverage by a health insurer will be provided. Medical assistance can be obtained in Jazan or any other city within the Kingdom

Transportation – shuttle buses will transport staff to and from the college at regular intervals.

Life assurance/death in service benefit – In case of work-related deaths / accidents, expat workers are entitled to occupational hazard benefits from the General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI) in Saudi Arabia.

The employer will pay for all costs related to legalisation of the person’s stay in the Kingdom, be that through the extension of their visit visas (during the probation period) or the issuance of their work visas and residency permits, along with associated medical and travel costs.

Working hours – a 40-hour workweek (Saturday to Wednesday).

Holiday – Muslim and Christian holidays will be observed. In addition, staff will get academic holidays in line with the academic terms (typically up to 1.5 calendar months per year).

Flights – One return flight to the country of origin will be provided once per 12 month year plus a flight at the beginning and the end of the time in KSA.
