We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager: UPS Division (Telecoms & Industrial) to join the company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to: Company Chairman and COO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall Supervision of Technical & Commercial Matters in UPS Division – Telecoms & Industrial

• Set-up, plan and control the Division’s activities including overall supervision of technical & commercial matters.

• Co-develop the division’s policies & procedures and monitor their implementation.

• Market the division in the best possible way with a high degree of customer’s awareness.

• To report to the Chairman and provide update on sales and markets.

• To plan and execute sales calls which effectively articulate the firm’s offerings and create customer interest.

• To establish contact with clients, consultants and contractors.

• To get the company’s products & systems specified with the consultants.

• To prepare proposals to the clients’ standard.

• To coordinate with principals.

• To maintain detailed sales and marketing trends.

• To identify business opportunities and work with customers to understand requirements.

• To generate and present proposals to customers.

• To provide concise and timely status reporting as required by Country Manager/CFO/Chairman.

• To learn about vendors new technology and products.

• Improve and maintain customers’ satisfaction.

• Supervise the general accounting input according to agreed budget.

• Develop analysis of statistical information in order to determine and monitor performance.

• Responsible to build, nurture and leverage the power of team work.

• Duty to keep staff at the highest level of skills necessary to meet division’s deadlines.

• Develop with the executive manager plans to enhance revenues and create growth.

• Prepare reports that outline division operating mischief’s (i.e. delays in payments, wrong specs, suppliers misunderstandings, customer’s complaints…) and quickly attend to them.

• Coordinate the preparation of division’s budget and the financial forecasts.

• Design, establish and maintain the division structure and staffing requirement according to budget.

• Devise and follow achievable monthly objectives for staff and business units in terms of job completion as scheduled, quality service and full working potentials.

• Improve on processes and procedures through better staff coaching.

• Help Business units managers on day-to-day problems, maintenance issues, decision making and team spirit.

• Address every activity on the value-added objective and enhanced performance that include:

– Product development

– Staff training

– Increased productivity

– Cost effectiveness

– Bottom line profit

The Outdoor Sales Engineer has technical/engineering responsibility for all phases of an enterprise 802.11 (WLAN) network lifecycle including architecture, design, surveys, deployment, troubleshooting and operations/management. Depending on the size and geographic scope of each customer engagement, this role may have lead technical responsibility or may be part of a larger team. The Outdoor SE has a variety of professional certifications and has successfully completed training from one or more major vendors of WLAN equipment. This Outdoor SE is a member of the EMEA sales organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Responsibilities:

• Provide technical outdoor WLAN and wire-line consulting and engineering services to Aruba clients

• Design/architect wireless networks, including wireline core LAN integration for connectivity, authentication, management and other relevant services

• Facilitate engineering and architecture meetings with all necessary levels of customer staff for the project (typically from VP/Director Network Services down to Network Analyst level)

• Stage/pilot/test networks designed by this individual, customers and/or other peers within Aruba as required from engagement to engagement

• Plan, perform and document indoor and outdoor site surveys in the field using 802.11 diagnostic tools including spectrum analysis equipment.

• Install, configure and certify network equipment independently, or in conjunction with field cabling and hardware installation teams

• Formulate technical action plans for analyzing and resolving performance problems related to 802.11 WLAN networks and/or their wireline dependencies

• Generate documentation in the form of project plans, network designs, topology diagrams, IP/VLAN address schemas, configuration files, site survey reports, heat maps, case notes, tech tips and best practices

• Work on complex problems requiring in-depth fault analysis and troubleshooting skills

• With the Project Manager, develop a project plan to deliver on customer requirements

Internal Responsibilities:

• Providing technical sales support to salespeople and partners for various technologies as related to WLAN products and services

• Assist in pricing customer proposals, including generating Bills-of-Materials and working with applicable vendors to identify the proper part numbers for a customer solution

• Delivers presentations to prospective clients under the direction of the relevant sales person or Practice Lead

• Based on requirements, architect custom solutions to meet customer needs

• Provides technical leadership on proposals, RFP and RFI responses

• Maintains broad knowledge of industry solutions and competitors

• Proposes new Aruba solutions; Identify new outdoor WLAN products or services that are of interest to the marketplaces served by Aruba

• Participate in the product planning and field testing process for outdoor equipment

• Builds test/demonstration solutions

• Provide technical training cross-training to relevant groups as needed, including Aruba and partner SEs

• Mentoring/career counseling/management for more junior staff

• Participate in serviceability enhancement requirements

• Work effectively in a team environment
