Job Description:
Their client is looking for DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGISTS to join their subsurface team in Iraq.

– Candidates will be fluent in English and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Past experience working in a multi–cultural environment is beneficial.
– Candidates must have degree in Geology or Geophysics
– Geologic interpretation with a focus on:
– Clastic sedimentology
– Sedimentary facies & depositional environment analysis
– Sequence stratigraphic interpretation using well log, core, biostratigraphic and seismic data
– Structural styles
– Fault seal analysis
– Log analysis
– Some basic knowledge of petroleum geochemistry and basin modeling.
– Generation of prospects in a team environment for drilling and present to governmental organizations for approval.
– Preparing, monitoring and evaluating drilling programs.
– Coordination with vendors regarding logging programs, rock analysis (core & cuttings), geochemistry, and biostratigraphy.
– Familiarity with probabilistic assessment techniques for hydrocarbon prospects.
– Assessment and improvement of existing field production techniques (i.e. waterflood, etc.)
– Experience within the Oil and Gas Sector is a must and exposure in the Middle East a plus.

Experience: 1 – 5 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
