Principal Responsibilities:

Below is a list of responsibilities that ideal candidate must posse:

  • Performance, integrity and security of databases

  • Monitoring Performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to front end users.

  • Provide support to clients for all aspects of database tasks like database size, users, response time and instance performance.

  • Controlling access permissions and privileges of databases

  • Provide support to developers for all SQL server needs.

  • Developing, managing and testing backup and recovery plans.

  • Ensuring storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning well.

    • Required Skills:

    The candidate must have the following expertise

    Sound knowledge and experience of SQL Server 2000/2005

    Experience of installing, administering, upgrading, capacity planning, performance tuning and maintenance of MS SQL Server 2000/2005 (ranging from 1GB to 4 TB) databases.

    Good knowledge of all aspects of databases i.e. space, users, growth, response, and throughout instance performance.

    Excellent knowledge of database tables and query optimization techniques

    Must have hands on experience of TSQL development for both windows and web enjoinments.

    Strong knowledge of SQL Performance tuning and database tuning tasks.

    Good exposure of SQL Server Integration and Analysis Services.

    Strong knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services and Crystal Reports

    Strong communication skills

    Good team player and be self motivated
