Senior Materials Engineering Manager
We currently require a senior materials engineer to act as a concrete specialist for a large international contractor. You will be based in a centralised office in the UAE for the Gulf region.
You will be predominately experienced in civil construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, earthworks etc.
The role requires a degree qualified engineer with 10 plus years experience. It is also preferable that candidates being put forward have some previous experience working in the Middle East.
Duties and responsibilities associated with the role include but are not limited to:
• Having 8-10 years of experience in All types of Concrete works
• Capable of supervising overall Concrete Construction activities inclusive of Safety measures and work permits
• To coordinate between sub-contractors and other Concrete crews
• Capable of preparing Mix Designs
• Capable of preparing manuals for Batching Plants.
• Advise on concrete placing.
• Knowledge of Concrete works techniques in hot and cold weather
• Knowledge of the routine testing of Concrete and Materials
• Experienced in the methods of Concrete repair
• Experience in asphalt works is an advantage.
• Experience with laboratory testing Procedures and Standards
