WORK EXPERIENCE

2007 Oct to date Al Zahrawi Enterprises

Employed as Finance Manager and responsible for 3 Companies ( namely SALUS Referral Laboratory, CRYO SAVE – Arabia, and Medicine Shoppe – Arabia)  all financial activates.

  • Preparation and presentation of Project analysis report to the Board of Directors. This includes 5 year plan and ROE & Payback period of investments.
  • Preparation of Annual Budget 2008 & 2009 and Rolling Budget (Reforecast) in quarterly basis.
  • Set Pricing of all test to determine the breakeven point.
  • In the process of rolling out a accounting package ( tailor made to suit the laboratory accounting system ) accordance to IFRS guidelines.
  • Supervision and monitoring team of accountant (7 staff) to produce accurate and timely preparation of monthly Profit & loss, Cash flow and Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Submitting variance analysis report to the Management on a monthly basis.
  • Consolidation of Profit & Loss & Balance sheet of 3 companies for group.
  • Monitor Account Receivables & payable on daily basis and update management.
  • Liaise with External Auditor (Deloitte & Touche) to have the audit report & management report before 1st quarter ensuring the entire balance sheet schedule submitted alone with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Inter Company transaction confirmation.
  • Liaise with Bank to obtain a facility for the 3 companies by way of presenting current financial performance and future growth in the business.
  • Supervision of payroll preparation.

2006 Dec to 2007 Oct – DHL Express U.A.E -

Employed as Credit Manager in the Customer Accounting department and responsible for 12 staff functions while looking after for all Multinational organizations and GCC customers invoicing, query and collections in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Average account receivable for the month approximately AED 60 million and collection 65%. Over 60 day’s % is kept under 25% with 5000 + active customer base.

Performance/Accountability

Manage a team in Dubai & Abu Dhabi and make sure that daily routing tasks are performed in return enable to achieve the DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) target set by the regional office.

  • Monitor and guide the team to achieve targets by assuring making 60 productive calls and adhere to accounts receivable systems as per regional policy and key performance indicators.
  • Daily update the management % of the collections.
  • Dunning process carried out on time.
  • Apply the credit limit as per DHL standard and policy.
  • Credit Stop policy is carried out if customer not adhere to agreed credit period.
  • Propose possible write off in advance and forward the same to legal action.
  • Roll out a new commission structure to increase the earning capacity of the team to improve the moral
  • Conduct weekly meeting and have brainstorm session to improve productivity of the customer accounting department.
  • Training and coaching new staff.
  • Visiting customer to resolve issues faced with settlement/invoicing.

2001 Dec to 2006 Dec : DHL Express Sri Lanka

Employed in the capacity of Credit Control Manager, and responsible for maintain regional credit policies and procedures. Represented (Acting) as Financial Controller in two occasions until the positioned was being filled while fulfilling the monthly CREST (SAP environment) reporting. Possess many year’s of experience in preparing Annual Operating Plan (liaise with Singapore regional office) reforecast monthly and was the coordinator for Country business Review for the country. Team Member of Activity Based Costing model and Network Costing Model which was awarded 4 Stars in 2004 and during these periods I was nominated for employee of the year 2003 and 2004
